I swear if you test every generic drug in India, most will have issues. During covid i remember one paracetamol brand having no effect at all until i got another brand.

What were they doing till then. The issue here is that the certification is in the state controller's hands and each state wants their industry to thrive. Which means turning a blind eye and accepting bribes. 

We need the certification to move to central agencies fully including inspections and there should be consequences for bad certification. Private certification like GMP should be mandatory before giving the license.

Plain corruption. We can have a simple rule of cameras installed in whole mfg facility and each facility to upload high quality video of work online which can be inspected by random inspectors sitting in office. Inspections should be signed by an office who should be legally responsible if crime happened. But man, in this country

I once fell sick at a relatives place in Gwalior. Since it was a recurring illness i just got the prescription from a local pharma store. Instead of usual brands i got the alternates. i figured it was not a big deal, i couldnt be more wrong.

I spent next 2 days with no improvement until i returned to delhi and bought branded medicines and felt better within 1 dose.

Thats when i realised how bad the situation is. Gwalior is not a hinterland village. It is a town with a prominent history and a high profile minister. Yet a medical store is selling sub grade medicines.  No consequences.

I took it a few days consecutively around the mid point of my symptoms. Things didn't get worse as far as symptoms but I have also read about the effects of using that on the virus so I likely was at a point where it didnt effect it.

If you have whole body involvement the doctor probably should have given you a steroid shot and a longer prednisone course.  You should take Benadryl specifically (it works differently than Zyrtec or Allegra) and go back to the doctor if you’re still covered in a reaction now or if it comes back after the one day of prednisone.

It can take days or weeks to go away.

Sometimes I feel that it is my karmic debt to be born in a country which is losing morals, values, ethics. Everyday one should be happy that they are alive because death can come in any way possible. 

There is absolute zero accountability, remorse left in people like middle class and lower class people living in India are just guninea pigs and don't deserve life. Corruption, greed is slowly taking over the country in much larger scale than ever.
